Digipak Advert

I designed my digipak poster using photostudio. I decided to use a black and white theme for my poster for a few reasons. One of the reasons is that the song is about michael jackson and one of his hit songs was called "black or white". The other reason was because of all the controversy that surounded him, about the colour of his skin.

This was a still taken from my video which i decided to use for my digipak. I print screened the shot and edited in photostudio. I used the magic wand tool to delete any unwanted colour and background and to delete any facial features.

Digipak

I have edited my previous digipak design due to copyright infringement. However i feel that the final version is a vast improvement on previous drafts. The Picture on the front and the back of the digipak were hand drawn by me.

After i scanned the images in I created a night sky background using Photostudio. To create the majority of stars i drew a small white/yellow/blue circle and used the "smudge tool" to give it the illusion off the stars giving off light. I set the night sky as the background image and brought the hand-drawn image into the foreground. I used the "magic wand" on the hand drawn image to get rid of the body of the drawing so it was just left with the outline, I then made the outline white, to let the image stand out more.

The two middle sections of my digipak were taken from stills off my music video.

These images were also edited using photostudio. The "magic wand" tall was used to delete all the unwanted background imagery, as well as facial features. The background image was then placed behind the image and the moon was moved into a higher position on one of the sections and removed completely on the other section
